The Studio
The Studio is a large, flexible space that is designed for rehearsal, creative development, and intimate performance seasons. Built for circus it features a spacious open floor, high ceilings, rigging points and foam pit.
The Studio can host everything from circus and theatre rehearsals to showings, workshops, and performances.
The Long Room
The Long Room is a generous creative studio with a long rectangular layout and high adaptive potential.
Its scale makes it ideal for rehearsal, creative development, and workshops. The room can also be configured for small-scale events, meetings, and community or industry gatherings.
The Square Room
The Square Room is an intimate studio space ideal for solo artists or small ensembles. With its open-plan layout and ground-based training focus, it is perfect for circus, theatre, and dance rehearsals, as well as creative development, auditions, and small workshops.
While not equipped for aerial work, the room’s scale and flexibility make it well suited for yoga, private lessons, movement practice, or as a breakout space for larger projects taking place across the Centre.
Its special feature is the tech set-up making online meetings and video presentations a breeze.
The Back Room
The Back Room is the perfect place for a small ensemble to stretch and climb, for clowns to create, and for groups to gather. With the addition of a small office, it’s ideal for a company wanting to pair training in the hub with creation sessions.
The Hub
Our dedicated circus training studio, the Hub is the beating heart of Circus Centre Melbourne. Designed for circus at every scale, it’s kitted out with everything you need to train, rehearse and create: a Petite Flying Trapeze, eight aerial points, multiple static trapezes, a lunge line, Chinese poles, large acrobatic floor and some hard floor space too.
Whether you’re training high in the air, tumbling across the floor, or sharing skills with others, the Hub is a space built for possibility.
Members Co-Working Lounge
Exclusively for CCM Members, the Co-Working Lounge is designed for comfort and flexibility. This spaces features lounges, areas to meet in groups, and quiet spots for focused solo work. There are standing desk options, a variety of desk sizes, and excellent Wi-Fi.
Located right next to the kitchen (complete with tea and coffee) the Lounge is a welcoming place to connect, recharge, or get work done.
The Kitchen
Our communal kitchen and eating area is open to all building users — a warm, welcoming space to connect over coffee or share meals. Fully equipped with two microwaves, an oven, stove, coffee machine, kettles and toasted sandwich makers, it’s designed to make lunch time easy. Overlooking the training space, the kitchen is the perfect spot to gather, refuel, and stay connected to the energy of the Hub.
