Venue Accessibility

Wheelchair Access
Circus Centre Melbourne is a wheelchair accessible venue. If you are attending an event, program or have an appointment to meet us at the venue, you can enter via our step-free entrance at 35 Johnston St – using entrance B.

Alternatively there is lift access from the 50 Perry St entrance.

There are wheelchair accessible, gender-neutral toilets on each floor and you can access all levels via a lift.

Parking
There are three accessible parking bays available. One is located near entrance 35C Johnston Street and the other two further into the car park near the building.

Meet & Assist
If you require a meet and assist service, please email or call Circus Centre Melbourne and we can arrange this for you.

Baby change tables
One of the accessible ground-floor bathrooms is equipped with a baby change table and is clearly signed.

Prayer Rooms
Circus Centre Melbourne does not have a dedicated prayer room, however we can accommodate this for individuals or events – please contact us to arrange a room.

Quiet Space
Circus Centre Melbourne does not have a dedicated quiet room, however we can accommodate this for individuals or events – please contact us to arrange a room.

Service animals and pets
Service animals and guide dogs are welcome throughout Circus Centre Melbourne and Collingwood Yards at all times.

Social and leashed pets are usually welcome in outdoor areas. If visiting for an event, please check with us ahead of attending.

Some CCM and Circus Oz staff do have pet dogs inside, please let us know ahead of visiting if this could cause you distress.

Circus Centre Melbourne is committed to a circus and physical theatre sector that is diverse, inclusive, and accessible. We support artists who face physical, social, cultural, or financial barriers to ensure everyone can participate in our programs.

Low-Income Participation
We recognise the financial uncertainty many artists face and offer support to make participation possible:

  • Low-income pricing for Open Training
  • All memberships are priced at a low-income rate
  • Flexible payment options for fee-based programs
  • Highly subsidised rehearsal room hire

First Nations Artists
We aim to remove cultural and economic barriers that limit participation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists:

  • Free access to Open Training for all First Nations artists
  • Expanding support through new programs and partnerships

Access Services
We plan and budget to ensure our programs are accessible to all artists. This may include:

  • Childcare
  • Interpreters
  • Access technology
  • Wellbeing support
